Begin modifying a task by right clicking it and then clicking Modify Task.

Within the Modify Task dialog, click the Add Rate button to create a new rate.
The Delete Rate button is used for removing a rate from a task, while the Rate drop-down is used for selecting an existing rate:
In the Create New Rate Dialog which comes up after clicking the Add Rate button, you will be able to assign a rate name as well as a charge amount. Depending on your work you can also specify whether you want your rate to be calculated as a fixed rate or hourly rate in reports:
Click OK to in the dialog seen above to confirm your new rate.
Then click OK in the Modify Task dialog to confirm changes to your task.
